Emily H. Geddes was born to two physicists, grew up as a Navy brat, and taught herself to read before she was four. She holds a BA in Theatre from Brigham Young University, which she attended on a Howard W. Hunter Presidential Scholarship, and recently earned an MBA from Eastern Washington University. She has jumped out of an airplane at 10,000 feet, worked inhealth care administration for eight years, lived in and traveled around Europe, and interned at an electron beam accelerator facility — not necessarily in that order. A full-time mother and freelance business consultant and writer, Emily lives near Spokane, Washington, with her husband Gene, their three sons and her two library cards.
