In the first sentence of his history, Joseph Smith wrote about the many reports put into circulation by “evil-disposed and designing persons” in relation to the rise of the restored Church of Jesus Christ. Joseph sought wisdom as to how to respond to those publishing falsehoods against him.

Jesus Christ is the center of the family. If Christ is not central, then the family eventually becomes merely a group of people who share similar DNA patterns. If Christ is central, the family receives eternal glory and eternal exaltation in the kingdom of God.
