YouTube daddy daughter duo Mat and Savanna Shaw recently joined with the One Voice Children’s in a stirring and beautiful rendition of “O Holy Night.”
Here’s what they had to say about it:
The song is one of the most beloved Christmas carols of all time: O Holy Night. Perhaps the reason this song resonates with so many is its core message of hope. The original French poem was written by Placide Cappeau in 1847 to celebrate the renovation of the Roquemaure Church’s organ. Cappeau reflected on the birth of Christ being a renewal of the world, just as the organ in his church had been renewed. That really is the message of Christmas: “A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!”
