It is probably too late for anyone to read my comment but I must make it anyway. I really did not like this movie. My friend and I picked up on errors that conflicted with the scriptures.

I really enjoyed the movie and agree it was done very well and they made Christ seem so real and did make me feel they understood his mission, and was able to portray that . How ever I was disappointed that when I got home I found the movie on tV under the title of the "Bible". I could have saved $20 and seen it on the TV. I did not know it was a TV show first.

I saw this film for the first time last night and have to agree with Jonathan Decker that it's one of the best. I loved Diogo Morgado's portrayal of a genuinely happy Savior who had a sense of mission and deep love for those (especially children) around him. He was compassionate without being a pushover. He understood who He was and wanted others to enjoy the abundant life He offered. The scenes of his scourging and crucifixion, while difficult to watch, left me with a renewed and deeper sense of gratitude. As I saw His suffering, I kept thinking, "He did this for me!" and I couldn't help offering repeated prayers of thanks right there.
