My husband and I visited Nauvoo and attended the Nauvoo Temple dedication. We have never experienced such a great measure of the Lord's spirit, which filled us with absolute joy and peace. Those profound feelings stayed with us for many days throughout our trip. One night, in the darkness, the Tabernacle Choir gave a special performance and sang in front of the brightly lit temple. People were sitting everywhere on the hillside across the street and also seated in chairs set up for the occasion near the choir. As we listened to the choir fill the air with such sacred, beautiful music on that evening, little fireflies came out and surrounded us. The temple blazed with light, and the Spirit of the Lord was very powerful, and something I will never forget.

This warmed my heart and had me back to the 1830s, seeing and feeling all our beloved founders went through. They truly were a magnificent bunch!
