A free performance of Rob Gardner’s “Lamb of God” will be presented March 18, 20 and 21 at the Bountiful Regional Center. This will be the fourth year of the performance in Utah by the Witness Music Choir and Orchestra, with soloists from the area. Another performance, at the St Francis of Assisi Church in Orem, Utah is already sold out, but standby seating may be available.

Even though the tickets are free, they should be reserved in advance by going to www.LambOfGodSLC.org. Standby seating will be available for any performances that are sold out.

Lamb of God is a musical retelling of the story of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ, his trial, crucifixion and resurrection. The oratorio features a full orchestra, choir of 100 voices and thirteen soloists. Appearing the in role of Peter is popular Utah performer Daniel Beck, with Michael Young as John and Ben Croshaw as Thomas. Accomplished vocalist Michelle Sundwall plays Mary Magdalene, with Lisa Lefler Olsen as Mother Mary. Other soloists include Jim Ockler, Paul Cave, Nathan Kristjanson, Matt Seeley, Chet Loftis, Katie Ivie, Tiffany Starr, Karissa Capps and Liz Waldom. Narrators will be Nathan Wright and Julene Judd. The conductor of the Witness Music choir and orchestra is Jason Robison.

Witness Music, founded in 2012 by Garin Hess, is now in it’s fourth consecutive season of presenting this work. Venues in past years have included the Alpine Tabernacle in American Fork, Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, and Cottonwood High School.
