I find it amusing that "the sound of a trump" is required. Though I am rather concerned that how we have responded to donald trump might be a sheep and goats sifting/moral judgement time.

My Patriarchal Blessing states I will LIVE to see the day when Christ returns to the earth in great glory to rule and reign. Many people are skeptical when I share this, even my own daughter-in-law, but I feel it is true. I'm 60.

Thank you for examining the words of the prophets in connection with the second coming. This has been on my mind a lot as we have observed the happenings of the last few days. I appreciate your insight. It is comforting to know that as we follow the words of our prophet and learn to listen to the voice of the Lord all will be well.

There are many who are...unintentional "fear mongers". You, I'm pleased to say, are NOT one of them. Sensible. I LOVE your Mom's advice to you when you were young. Appropriate and timely no matter "what time" it is.
And I loved how you mentioned we'll see the Lord's return "in real time" and not on a recorded loop. Again, thank you for this calm and uplifting (& sensible) message.

Just one observation. Everything that we should be doing to prepare for the Second Coming is exactly what we should be doing without regard to whether the Second Coming is near or distant.

My patriarchal blessing given many decades ago clearly states that I shall not see the Second Coming in this mortal life. But, if I remain worthy to the covenants that I have made in the Holy Temple, then I shall return with Him at his Second Coming.
The key is to remain faithful and to do what is right. Then endure to the end of this mortal probation. It is not easy, but it will prepare us for to be more like He is.

I heard Elder Holland answer the question by stating the "We will be closer to the Second Coming when there is a Stake in Pakistan." The Gospel must yet be preached to, and established in, all the world. The world is certainly wicked enough, but we do not have enough worthy Priesthood holders to govern the world wide church that will exist in the Millenium.

The admonitions and warnings were there for those with ears to hear. Thank you for summarizing all that our leaders have said. I'm quite amazed when some say they heard the same old messages. As for me and my house, we are hearing them loud and clear and we are preparing for His coming by fleeing Babylon and letting God prevail.
