LDS youths around the globe will soon have the chance to virtually mingle with professional singer and recently returned missionary David Archuleta.

Archuleta, a former “American Idol” contestant, will be participating in a live video chat on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Youth Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ldsyouth on Tuesday, June 24. The event will be in Spanish at 5:30 p.m. MDT and again in English at 7 p.m. MDT. The event will also be streamed on the Youth Activities website at www.lds.org/youth/activities and the Mormon Channel on YouTube at www.youtube.com/user/MormonMessages.

Brother David L. Beck, Young Men general president, and Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, Young Women general president, will moderate the event. This will be the first of four live Facebook events scheduled for the next year.

Elder Christoffel Golden, of the Seventy, said this is an exciting opportunity for youths to participate together in “an uplifting conversation about topics that matter to them,” according to a news release.

“We are grateful that David Archuleta is willing to take this time to share his testimony with youth throughout the church,” Elder Golden stated in the news release. “I am confident that they will all be edified by the Spirit during this event.”
