Even though our focus on this podcast is helping couples and individuals heal from the impact of betrayal, we feel it’s important to understand and support the behind-the-scenes efforts of groups who are protecting the innocent victims of the pornography industry. Healing is about embracing truth and we strongly believe that all those who are victimized need voices and advocates. It’s a sad reality that as the demand for pornography increases, so does the violence behind it. The numbers of adults and children being sexually exploited are skyrocketing as this demand increases. Americans are the number one consumers of pornography, and more often than not, these “performers” have not consented, and are actually victims of sex crimes. In this episode we welcome Dani Pinter, Senior Legal Counsel for the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE). Join us as we discuss the dark side of the industry that produces pornography and how we can help those who are exploited. Dani outlines how NCOSE is fighting to develop legislation to hold companies accountable, defend trafficked victims, and what you can do to take a stand against the injustices of sexual exploitation.
