As the mother of six young adult daughters, I can testify that young moms need all the honest praise they can get. Sometimes these words are the paycheck. Being a mom is one tough job-as you have well explained. Hugs, encouragement, noticing the good-it all counts. This is why I wrote my LDS book, The Pursuit of Happi-Nest, to encourage all moms (not just Latter-Day Saints).

Thank you. I was never a "young" mom as I didn't marry until my late 30's but I do believe that young mom's need every ounce of support and encouragement we can give them. I try, even with young moms I don't know, to let them know how beautiful their children are, and what a great job they are doing and that there is no work more important. Yesterday, at a store, there were some very loud children, and people were making rude comments instead of seeing if there was something they could do to help. All of us were once little children, and someone raised and put up with us. This is the next generation--try to support those who are raising that generation--such vital work. President Nelson said he became a doctor because he couldn't be a mother. I salute you young moms--keep fighting the good fight--it is SO worth it!
