I'm 80 years old, but I have joined the ranks of Archuleta fans. I listen to his CD nearly every day. It never ceases to amaze me how uplifting it is. Brings tears to my eyes. I/m so grateful for this wonderful young man and his example.

At first i thought this is only a youth stuff; that i wouldn't be affected much if i read it. On the contrary i was being affected already. I saw an in-depth reply from Archuleta that touch a sincere reader. His righteous principles, conviction, and the routine he had of always attending church services before had rescued him from the frail wrappings of success, fame and glory. Serving his mission gives him a feeling of satisfaction and accomplished.
This is a great article for teaching especially to those who think that what they are having as offers, contracts, immediate employment, scholarship, fame and glory of any form compensates their decision not to serve a mission and yet, their circumstances does not even equal in half that of Archuleta's fame and glory.

I am so thankful that someone who has been in the public eye and made the choice to follow the Savior comes forth to stand up in faith. Thank you, David. The spirit definitely has spoken to you and shown you some subtle ways that Satan uses. Thank you for being the "idol" that my grandchildren and great grandchildren can look to for an example.
