Thank you for this article. I used to do my scripture study at night, but I have found since changing it to the first thing in the morning, I am more in tune with the Spirit through the whole day. Now nothing comes before spending time in the scriptures and prayer. It equips me to better meet my day.

This is just what I needed to read today, and it's beautifully said. Brigham Young is my great great great grandfather. I always feel inspired by his words. I shared it with my 6 girls, who are trying to daily influence others for good.

Thank you! This article really spoke to my heart. I am being primed right now to take another step up in my relationship with the Lord and understanding how the Holy Ghost works. Just yesterday I watched “A Night With a General Authority” David A Bednar, for seminary and Institute teachers. The topic was basically how to receive the Spirit’s guidance in teaching! WOW! My cup was overflowing! Elder Bednar’s main point was, I believe, perfectly in line with your article. As members of the Lords church who strive to Be good, and Do good we are blessed each week with the words “that thy Spirit may ALWAYS be with them”. The Spirit doesn’t just come here a little, there a little, when we’re Really righteous. He is ALWAYS with us, if we allow Him, guiding us and directing us though we may not even know it. We would do well, as your article suggests, to sense, act upon and acknowledge more often the Holy Ghosts help. It is the “higher and holier way” Pre Nelson has asked us to walk. I am so grateful for the Spiritual tutoring I am receiving through the Holy Ghost right now to have a closer relationship with the Lord!

Two of our daughters met their future husbands at Scholars—as well as other friends that they are still in contact with 35 years later.
