Thank you for the great write up and memory. My father is the Elder Edmunds referenced in the article and missionary companion to Elder Suman. I remember him telling this story to us but I didn't remember Elder Suman's name. "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."

What a wonderful story about how the Lord can take simple things and turn them into very great blessings. I wish we had the name of the cook, though, as the beginning of the story started with him listening to the Spirit. I wonder if he ever knew what great things happened from his little moment of discernment? Do any of us?
