I was among the first missionaries called to the Dominican Republic after the revelation on the priesthood. There were so many individuals and families prepared to receive the restored gospel. Even then, I heard stories of the first missionaries to Africa and of Bro. Johnson. It was a blessing to see the fruits of that wonderful revelation.

Brother Johnson has been a hero of mine for many years. Many times, when I felt misunderstood or unaccepted at church, even by church leaders, I remembered how he persisted, trusting in God's love. His example has helped me to hang on, to be converted to the gospel personally, not rely on others' approval. He was definitely called of God to prepare his people for the gospel. I'm so grateful that he lived to see the gospel come to his country, to see the priesthood extended to all worthy men, to see his faith and persistence proven. This is a story all members need to know and remember.

This is amazing article it shows that the Lord can work through all of us even if the Priesthood has not been established. The blessing come after the trial of your faith or as Moroni put it, "ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."

Thank you for this wonderful Meridian Magazine online. There is much that can be learned about the church found nowhere else. It is a pleasure to be associated with the Proctor project of enlightening the masses. God bless you for all that you do for truth. We also need more articles on the American destiny, like Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Adams , the pen and the word of America's Independence, espoused more. God bless the Proctors for there diligence, Lo the many years.

The Church is true and Brother Johnson is a miracle messenger from God Almighty as great as Jonah and the whale story. This is Jehovahs work and someday the very spirit which brooded over Africa and the black race will brood over Israel and the Jewish race. God be with you 'til we meet again in that world which knows no end.
