The most conclusive knowledge on the creation is the Temple. Though Elder's Mcconkie, Talmage and JF Smith are all brilliant and incisive on there ideas, unless one receives the truth from the Font of all truth including Brigham, we do not lnow and we speculate on what could be. Certainly the evolutionists have partial truth but Darwin concocted a THEORY, which has been debunked by many scientists and naturalists. Thanks God for His creation of Michael the arc-angel.

@ Thomas McKnight: are you kidding? there are quite literally, tons of transitional fossils. Elder Talmage writes "Geologists say that these very simple forms of plant and animal bodies were succeeded by others more complicated; and in the indestructible record of the rocks they read the story of advancing life from the simple to the more complex, from the single-celled protozoan to the highest animals, from the marine algae to the advanced types of flowering plant – to the apple-tree, the rose, and oak."

Read the Universal Model by Dean Sessions. The best explanations I have heard in science that line up with scripture.

Gord Brinkhurst ~ My family and I went up to the Dinosaur Quarry in Vernal, Utah. One of the best examples of dinosaur fossilization in the world, in an excavation that has been put under a huge museum roof right where it was. Those dinosaurs were drowned! It is clear that the thousands of dinosaurs that are exposed in the cliff side now where their fossil remains are exposed were in a mix of mud as if they were thrown into a huge washing machine. In Geology class at the university they taught me that the earth's crust is (1) Igneous, (2) Metamorphic, and (3) Sedimentary (sediment remains from a Flood). What they DIDN'T tell me then, but which I have learned SINCE THEN, is that 97% of the earth's crust is SEDIMENTARY. One other thing about the dinosaurs: Take Tyrannosaurus Rex, for example, but it is true of all the 700 species of dinosaurs found so far. Each species is found fully developed, as is. Of the dozen or so T-Rex skeletons they are all fully developed. No transitional fossils leading up to them. None. Zippo. This is true for Triceratops, too. All fossils fully developed at the same stage of development. Stegosaurus. The same. All the others. The same. Even though the fossils are found here and there all over the world, not in just the same location. There must be billions of transitional STEPS, but none are found! If you had a lottery with numbered ping pong balls between 1 and 100 (transitional steps) in a huge bowl, even though there might be five of each number in the bowl. What would the odds be of pulling out the same exact number five times in a row. Statistically speaking, you must pull out different numbers from the bowl (different transitional steps of fossils from the earth's crust), or something is wrong! If you keep pulling out the same numbers, with no other transitional numbers, it is a clue THERE ARE NO OTHER TRANSITIONAL NUMBERS OR FOSSILS.

I am not doubting Moses but will someone explain where the Dinasaurse come into the creation?

Thank you, Brother Gibbons, for sharing your insights. I teach Gospel Doctrine and find your commentaries to be extremely helpful.

The apparent conflicts between science and religion constituted a major factor that kept me out of the church for many decades, and I am quite sure my own experience is not unique. But I am older now, and I have a better understanding. One key is the realization that the communication of one man with another depends on recognition and analysis of symbols, whether auditory or visual or through some other sense, and both the sender and the recipient of these symbols are liable to err. It is a good idea to put questions about doctrine aside until a time when understanding improves. I can attest, through experience, education, and revelation, that there is no difference between true religion and true science, but the minds of men are hampered by innumerable errors of interpretation and by the pride that keeps them from recognizing their errors.
