My parents had me and my siblings recite chorally a few verses of scripture each day at the beginning of our 15- or 20-minute daily family scripture study in which we would read 2 pages (about a chapter) of scripture, and that habit resulted in our memorizing dozens of verses that have helped me and my siblings across decades. I'm so grateful my parents established that relatively simple memorization routine. Also, my friend has memorized much of Joseph Smith—History and recites it in a way that inspires others, while another friend does something similar with the speeches of Abraham Lincoln. Thanks for this article! It makes me commit to more memorization!

I have been blessed to experience Bruce's production five times. We invited him to St. George twice for the fund raisers he spoke of and once in Salt Lake for an inter faith group we gathered in connection with the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. I hold Bruce Newbold in the highest regard. This presentation is above any description. He literally transports his audience into the life of Jesus Christ. I have listened to his CD more times than I can count and would love to attend another performance if I could get that chance. He is a master actor, but he isn't acting when he performs "In Him Was Life", he is living it. What more can I say?
