Thank you for addressing this subject. I have felt like I have had epic fail after epic fail in my missionary efforts! When I've prayed to know who to approach and then move forward with faith only to get the sting of rejection I have become more gun-shy as a result. I can't say I've had a positive experience to fuel my ongoing attempts, and my faith waivers in this thing. Nevertheless I haven't stopped trying altogether, I keep hoping that one of these times I'll have a positive experience of giving a Book of Mormon to a co-worker or a neighbor. I don't want to be the player who stomps off the field! So thanks for helping me see that my reaction to rejection is important to keeping the adversary at Bay.
