While Alma the Elder did repent of his sins before he began to preach (Mosiah 18:1) and baptize (Mosiah 18:13), he in fact received his priesthood authority from wicked King Noah (Mosiah 11:5) -- Alma was one of the "new" priests consecrated by Noah in that verse.

I just read Omni. Did you mean to say that King Mosiah and his son
King Benjamin were descendants of Nephi? I do not see where it says they are descendants of Jacob. Please explain.
