Thanks for writing and posting this story today. I was laid off from my job six months ago. Immediately after cleaning out my desk and leaving my office, I went to a nearby park and prayed. I had an overwhelming feeling that I would be unemployed for a short time and that when I landed a job "on Thursday," I would be in a much better situation. That was six months ago -- and I'm still looking for a new job. Many times I have cried out to the Lord "Are you there? Can you hear me? Is anyone in Heaven listening? Where art thou? Where is thy hiding place?" I have fasted and prayed -- and each time I feel that things will be ok, and even better than before. But even as those answers have come I have wondered if those feelings have come from inspiration, desperation or medication (I take a daily anti-depressant). I don't know the answer. But I have hope that my prayers are heard and that the Lord will answer me in his own time -- which I hope is short indeed. Thanks again for posting this story.
