This is a topic I've wondered about for a long time - how many nudges have I missed because I am too "busy" to hear. Your article has inspired me to listen better and actually follow through on my nudges. Thanks!

My Heavenly Father gave me talents and abilities to use for the Glory of the Kingdom of God during my probation on Earth. In 1994 I became a member of His Church; in 2001 I moved to Brasil where I have been ever since. In the twenty-one years, I've been here, I have never learned the Portuguese language. Instead, I spent nineteen years teaching English to professional men and woment, the lessons for whom I composed myself. I did not teach from the available books and texts which propound the British English; nay, I taught American English, which is a bastardized replication of the True English language from Britain. I am a teacher; I was called to teach in 1972 while sitting in the car, waiting for my wife to leave her floor as a nursing assistant, to let me take her home. The Lord spoke to me so clearly as I patiently waited in the car. "You're going to teach. Get an education in the Scriptures." I sort of did that... but now, the value of that calling on my life is a reality. But I need to learn the language of this people, in whose midst, I expect to see the last day of my life on planet Earth. The testimony I read in Lynne Perry Christofferson's short message is a true inspiration for me to get off my duff and learn Portuguese, that I may offer something to the Ward of Believers here in Assis, a medium-sized community of farming and industry, in the countryside of Sao Paulo state. Thank you, Lynne...
