A Latter Day Scripture tells us that violence will be one of the signs of the times and that "Zion" will pretty much be the only safe place, see D&C 45:68. We won't have an ark for safety but Zion. In those verses Zion is an actual place, a location which many believe is here in America. Don't want to get political here, not my intent, but many immigrants have come here to the US in order to escape the violence in the countries or areas they have come from, fulfillment of scripture ?
