Ayse, thanks for the kind words. It really was a wonderful conference, wasn't it? As I went through my journal notes I found myself wishing I wasn't writing a humor column, because there was so much there of a kind of beauty that would have been out of place here.

I love your humor, Marvin, (or should I write humor, ha ha). It was interesting too see the things you noted at the Conference, some of which I could concur having also penned. I wonder if that is due to us both being from the US and appreciating the same sort of word plays? It seems to me all the speakers had something profound to elucidate, and yet those word plays really getcha. thanks for your wonderfully entertaining articles in Meridian.
