I meant Victor Ludlow. When he told what they did to the leaders of the country the class went dead silent. It is so horrible I don't want to describe it on site.

Sue, I read an article in the Biblical Archaeoogical Review that had the same impact on me. I t came complete with photos of Assyrian engravings of the atrocities committed by that nation. It was horrific! Ted

I once sat in on Daniel Ludlow's class on Isiah at BYU. He described what the leaders of Ninevah did to conquer a nation. I could barely listen to what he said, and have not forgotten it. I understood, for the first time, why Jonah was scared to go to Ninevah. I don't think I should describe it- it is too barbaric.
