I admire all families who work this hard together! I did one with my family and it was a great bonding experience. Bonding experiences like these strengthen families, therefore strengthen the central unit to God's plan of happiness!

We are a military family, and our base sponsored two Mud Runs last year, with a category for Parent/Child teams. Our ten-year-old daughter and I participated, with our youngest (who was too young) and Dad wearing matching shirts and carrying signs of encouragement around the course to keep us motivated. In the weeks leading up to the run, Daughter and I ran together. It gave us a chance to talk and share and get to know one another. Being groupies for us gave Youngest one-on-one time with her Daddy. Everybody was a winner, and Daughter is looking forward to the next one--we even have a team name picked out and costume ideas.
