Wonderful article. We as a people do shy away from vocalizing scriptures such as “washed in the blood of the Lamb” and yet, it’s very clear in the Sacrament prayers, and in the Temple , that remembering Him includes remembering the blood that He shed on the cross. The official image for everything the Church publishes is the image of the Living Christ with His holy wounds very much in evidence.
