As one of Frazier Eaton's numerous descendents active in the church it is time to set the story straight. Since Grandfather Eaton left no personal record of the account of the temple dedication story we have only one account-that of George A. Smith. Census records show Frazier living near Nauvoo in 1840. Why did he follow the Church to Nauvoo? Other records show he may have been ordained a high priest during this time. We don't know what happened the day of the dedication--Was George A. Smith there with Frazier or he get it second hand. Are we judging what we know nothing about? George A. Was known to be a staunch defender of the prophet. His account was written years following the incident.By that time Frazier was not around. Yes, as currently told is an example of what pride could lead us to do, but let's be humble and acknowledge we might not have all the facts..Judging others incorrectly also leads us into being deceived..
