Each year, single Latter-day Saints ages 18 to 25 are called and set apart to serve as performing missionaries. These missionaries serve at Historic Nauvoo and Carthage Jail for 14 weeks between May and October. The program features three groups: band members, actors, and production technicians.

Single members of the Church ages 18 to 25 from the U.S. and Canada are invited to audition to serve as performing missionaries—singers, dancers, band musicians, and production technicians—helping with musical and stage productions in Historic Nauvoo. Only a limited number of missionaries can be called. Talent, training, and experience are very important.

See the article “Nauvoo Performing Missionaries 2025” to learn about other qualifications and details.
