Addiction among members of the LDS Church is much more common than most people know, and the Church is continually releasing new resources to try to help. The following video is a message of hope from Elder M. Russell Ballard. His promises to those that will surrender themselves to the Lord come in no uncertain terms, “your body, mind, and spirit can be transformed, cleansed and made whole. And you will be freed.”

After years of research for solutions to the phenomenon of addiction, in order to help myself and others in properly dealing with this most critical issue...and reading so many things - more or less helpful on the subject - I have recently felt intuitively that the answer to this terrible challenge was the very thing Elder Ballard says in this video, something the Adversary definitely does not want us to be aware of, because this represents the only true path to full and permanent healing. Hearing those words from an Apostle of the Lord, also Son and Grandson of Apostles, confirmats that the prompting I received came from the right source, and has the true potential to generate miracles.
