After sharing a poignant and powerful testimony of Jesus in Sunday’s General Conference, President M. Russell Ballard shared on social media that his eyesight had prevented him from sharing prepared remarks.

“My eyes are getting dim as I approach 95 which makes it more difficult to see the teleprompter,” he shared on a post through his Instagram, “However, I didn’t want to allow this obstacle to keep me from sharing my testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ.”

Indeed, his eyes may be dim, but his spirit shone brightly as he fulfilled his apostolic role in testifying boldly of Jesus Christ. In another post today, he also said, “Never lose sight of Gethsemane.”
