THANKS, MITT!! I commend you!

It's interesting that the corrupt politicians are trying to derail Trump. They have mostly been proven to be corrupt, but their choices to oppose someone that they don't think they can corrupt is quite telling. Trump speaks his mind and hasn't learned political corruption yet. He doesn't drink or smoke and is happily married. He also is a Christian, but in private, not for show. Corrupt politicians are afraid of him.

I completely disagree with Mitt Romney and the other "leaders" of the Republicans. We have been taught that "all leaders are teachers" and instead of being part of the dialogue to influence others for good he has decided to ise someone else's alleged behavior/actions to determine his actions. Maybe with time he will learn to use his agency properly and take actions because they are right and not because he isn't getting his way.

Romney thinks he is now part of the pack but forgets how they threw him under the bus 4 years ago. I voted for him but after the first debate which he won by a landslide he dropped out of site and totally let up. Romney had his chance and blew it, I have no respect for him now. The next president will probably choose 5 new Supreme Court Justices and it could be disastrous for conservatives for the next 20 years at least. Nobody is perfect , not even Romney but at least Trump isn't a politician and can create jobs and won't be pushed around like Obama being politically correct.

I am very disappointed in Mitt and his lack of character. He had a chance to show leadership and Christlike character, but chose to do otherwise. I hope he can live with how he has been these past few months.

I'm amazed that Romney and these other Non-Republican Supporters do not realize that -- Everyone who doesn't want more of Democrats' ruining of America and disregard of the U.S. Constitution, or overloading the Supreme Court with non-conservative judges, should know that any vote, or no vote (other than Trump) is a vote for Hillary Clinton and more of the same we've had for the last 8 years -- More taxes, greater national debt, and loss of freedoms. Perhaps these would-be-absentees need to stand up for more than their egos, and think of the needs of the nation first, knowing the disaster that awaits us if Democrats win. -- Or, do they think they can better serve the nation (or themselves?) by so doing, and change the nominee to be one of themselves?

I support having successful businessmen run the gov't. This includes Congress. Politicians do not understand the risks/rewards of running business or what it takes to make it work - to survive failures etc. I thought Mitt would have done a good job. Trump is the only businessman willing to take a shot at it. The socialistic politicians that are beholding to lobbyists only know how to ring their hands and call names when Trump challenges their corrupt policies that have put us $23 trillion in debt!! They belong in jail as traitors to the US and embezzlers. I am concerned that any good program or person will get defeated by the do nothing, what's in it for me entitlement drones and leaches. They have become the ones who are turning up the heat that is cooking the rest of us and our country as we swim around on the stove not aware of what is happening. We need change and not the kind Obama and the leaches effected. We need someone who is willing to lead the cause to Make America Great Again! Rather than sit on the sidelines and throw barbs and criticisms - let's rally around the best leader there is (yes he has flaws, but who else is willing to grab the flag) and try to clean up this mess. Anyone can complain - who is willing to take action!?

Good for you, Mitt. Nice to know that some people have integrity. The country has NOT spoken. The country will do that in November, when the adults come out and send Trump home with his tail between his legs (and then he'll complain that the election was rigged against him, like the big baby he is). In case you haven't been paying attention, the demographics are not in favor of the Republicans--women, minorities (who will soon be the majority btw),and young people have all fled the party. My husband, a delegate to our state's Republican convention in 2012 and 2008, has resigned from the party, as have I. Trump is a dangerous man--he flatters his fans, he tells them what they want to hear, no matter how contradictory or unrealistic. And they suck it right up! So disturbing. Reminds me of the goings on described in Helaman and 3 Nephi. Trump only cares about Trump--he is not concerned one bit about anyone else. Never has been. And if you are too blind to see that, you deserve what you get. Just ask the people of 1930s Germany and Italy.

The majority of the people of the Republican Party do not want, and did not EVER want, Trump to be the nominee. Because of primaries, he may have more delegates at the convention this summer, but he doesn't have the people. He is a loose cannon, who doesn't serve anyone but himself. The amazing thing is that he's never tried to hide that from us, and still the people flocked to him. And now you cry "But if you don't vote Trump, you're putting HR Clinton in the White House!" No, my friends. Don't blame the rest of us when HR Clinton takes up residence in the White House. We saw Trump for what he was and refused to be hoodwinked. Trump supporters must take the blame for the next Clinton presidency, not me.

Romney and all the others who complain about Trump's win are not patriots and most are disingenuous at best. Many pledged their support of the winner and are dividing the party. In fact their inability to get behind Trump, the winner, show they don't care about the party or the country. They all remind me of a two year old who lost their binky. I think they should trade in their thousand dollar suits for Diapers. LCS

These leaders who chose not to go to the convention are not acting like children but people who believe in the principles of the constitution and having a leader who knows it. One who is not a bully, controlling with force, respond with anger, meanness. Trump is already sounding like a democrat and changing many of his views to what he really relives in. There is not much difference between Hillary or Trump both are dangerous to all of our freedoms. Too bad we are left to choose between cancer or aids to live with.
SteveMay 6, 2016
Donald Trump is an amoral, unprincipled narcissist. He is a danger to the Republic with his wacky, dangerous ideas. I don't like Hillary but at least she knows parts of the Constitution exists (while ignoring others). But, Trump doesn't show and respect for any part of the Constitution. A few examples . . He claims he will build a wall and ban Muslims. But both spending and immigration are granting to Congress, not the President. Our allies like the U.K. and Israel think he is dangerous. Trump is our Mussolini. He wants to be an authoritarian strongman. He'll lose overwhelmingly (probably taking under 100 electoral votes). Americans will be judged in the future as to whether they had the guts to stand up to Trump and his lunacy. Romney deserves kudos for his courage.
Theresa FernstromMay 6, 2016
Does that mean all of you would prefer to see Hillary in there instead ???? Please stop this childish bickering between all of you and stand behind this man so we do not have to put up with another 8 yrs. of more of the same as these past 8!!! Good grief can't you all see the mess we are in now???!!! Someone with the " guts" to create change, real change, needs to be in the White House. Please open your eyes and see what could be ahead if there is not unity in your party. The liberal element surely is delighted to be able to play up your disunity and magnify it to their benefit. !!!!????

Romney will not be missed. I'm tired of all these Rhino and other Republicans who will not support their candidate for President. It lessens my respect for them, if I had any to begin with. Trump scares career politicians. They know that he cannot be controlled because he is not one of them. They don't like him speaking his mind, even if the people like what he's been saying. That tells me that these people haven't the slightest interest in what the people want. Personally, I wish we could throw out all the career politicians who have given being a Congressman/woman a bad name. They've sold themselves out to special interest groups and no longer, or rarely, listen to their constituents. Whatever Trump is or isn't, he's heads and shoulders above everyone else who is running for President. At least he has done something with his life other than mooching off the public, they never having had a real job in their lives, most of them, and I don't count academia as a real job.

I am disappointed in these leaders, especially Romney. They are acting like small children who didn't win. The country has spoken. ANY Republican is better than Hillary Clinton. They need to go to the convention and support the candidate selected by the delegates so that Republicans do not stay home and therefore elect Hillary. They are supposedly the leaders so they should behave as such.
