You are right on with with a whole plant based diet with very little animal products such as dairy, eggs and meat.We still have a very long way to go with members following all of the Word of Wisdom. It is refreshing that you and Meridian Magazine are promoting good health.

Once again I must take issue with your premise: "No wonder the Lord tells us He is pleased if we don’t use meat, except in times of need (D&C 89:13)." The word "meat" does not appear in the Word of Wisdom. The Word of Wisdom only mentions that flesh of beasts and fowls of the air are to be used sparingly. Chickens and turkeys are not fowls of the air and fish are neither fowls nor beasts. There is a reason these are called the healthy meats. I agree that you must be careful of anything fed or developed by mad-made processes. And I would suggest it is best to use them in moderation.
