The Wentworth Letter is a treasure of Church History and Joseph asked it never to be edited. Yet someone edited the Priesthood Manual version, removing one paragraph some people did not like. Read the entire letter in the Ensign July 2002 and you will see what has been edited out by 2007 and now in our study this year. Learn what Joseph Smith knew and why it was edited. The Articles of Faith are need a cogent summary of restored doctrine that was once known by Christianity and lost, other than the Book of Mormon mention. What’s missing, though, is one really doctrine (or two intertwined ones): the family and the temple. I’m not sure why this isn’t there as the 14th article!
