I enjoyed this article very much and learned a great deal about the inner workings of the production. I have a different take on including the interview from The View. Like many, I too find this show offensive, brash, and lacking in social value. What I found profoundly interesting in this interview was seeing a very different side of each of the women of The View. Who knew they could actually be calm, soft spoken, respectful, and yes, even inclusive. This change of behavior came from the very subject matter, our Savior Jesus Christ, His ministry, gospel, and example for all humanity no matter where or when we are born into mortality. He can and does change hearts and behavior. Thank you for your article and everything included in it. Will I watch The View? No, but I have perhaps a bit more tolerance for the women on it, and I certainly have even greater respect for the actor portraying Jesus. His soft spoken courage has given me the courage to testify of the Savior. Thank you.

Mariah, I love the Chosen and I loved your article. Your descriptive, sensitive, beautiful writing just brought everything to life regarding The Chosen's production, fan participation, the amazing way things are funded, and each involved person's humility and respect for Jesus' life and works. Thank you so much.

Wonderful story, Mariah! As one who has filmed at Goshen, you did a masterful job of helping me feel I was back! It is truly an amazing set that inspires awe before the cameras start rolling.

Great article but didn’t like the video from The View. Why publicize a show that many find offensive? To be an extra does cost a lot of money. I love The Chosen! I feel they do an excellent job of retelling the stories in the Bible.

Mariah, What a lovely article about a very worthy subject. It made me think about those years when your family were all here in our ward. I especially remember your family setting up the Christmas crèche displays that your parents had collected all over the world. You and your little sister were so proud having helped set them up and displayed all over your house. Loved that open house and spirit of Christlike radiance found there due to its representation of the Lord’s Errand on this Earth. Rightly so! What a great teaching tool to help teach of the Savior and his important mission to the young and old. It is nice to see the crèches at the Washington DC temple visitor center during the Christmas season each year where they were donated when you all left. But, the remembrance of you and your sister’s soulful eyes that lit up as you ‘tour guided’ us from room to room in your home will always be with me as a precious memory. Because of your parents goodly influence, the apple does not fall far from the tree. God Bless❤️

I really enjoyed this article about The Chosen, the crowd funding, the chances for anyone to participate, etc. I didn't like the video with The View. I know there are other interviews with Jonathan that are more inspiring than bringing up this TV show which I find offensive. I guess you have your reasons.
