I appreciate Meridians willingness to publish these articles. I haven't read this ladies book but I recommend to everyone who read or reads this article to read two other books, "The Economic Theory of Sex, Industrialism, Feminism and the Disintegration of the Family" and "Sex Scandal the Drive to Abolish Male and Female". Satan's attacks always are directed two ways, getting us to misuse our agency and our physical bodies, two things he does not have and what better and clever way than to confuse people especially the young about gender.

There are some intriguing thoughts expressed in this piece. I think it largely accurate. And there is no question that this world's/society's values and beliefs are largely corrupt and is corrupting LDS youth.
I do disagree with one minor matter. I do not think transgender surgeries and social transitions or people that have done those things should be "supported" in that area. It is a matter of supporting and tolerating and accepting a lie they have told themselves and that has been told to them.
God has never made the mistake of putting a male spirit in a female body or a female spirit in a male body.
The relevant scriptures state:
D&C 93:24: "And truth is knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come."
“The Spirit speaketh the truth and lieth not. Wherefore, it speaketh of things as they really are, and of things as they really will be; wherefore, these things are manifested unto us plainly, for the salvation of our souls” (Jacob 4:13)
To go along with someone living a lie is to me to buy into that lie and support it. Men are men and women are women. This is another reason for the gift of discernment.
So I disagree with the author on that point. Otherwise, some excellent food for thought. I have a daughter that the internet activists and her school peers ruined in the same way as one person described in the article. Wrapped down her chest until she could afford the elective surgery to have it removed; takes hormone shots; has a low voice; dresses like a man. She also breaks most every commandment in the scriptures but murder. Her life is a disaster zone.

To those of us who know and understand the plan of salvation, any defiling of the body is rebellion and a denial of our true identity as sons and daughters of God.

Great article, and I totally agree too. As a therapist I once worked with a teen girl who felt unhappy as a girl, did internet searches and came out with the grand idea that she must be Lesbian. She then met up with highly motivated school people who convinced her she is actually trans. She started to constrict her breasts and wanted people to address her using all those fancy pronouns. Her mum asked if I could help her gain clarity. During the session it turned out that since she was young, this girl had family issues that resulted in her losing confidence, and at school she had repeatedly been told not to run, be loud, jump, and to make noises in the bus to school 'because she is a GIRL and only boys CAN do these things'. She had built the false belief that only by being a boy she would be free to be energetic.... And yet she was super depressed as a trans. Once the session was over she was starting to put thing together...I will say no more but may we open out eyes to what the movement is doing to our precious children. We need to let them be children.

How grateful I am to have not grown up in this generation! Since I'm pushing 90, I was able to be what they called a "tomboy" I played football with the neighborhood boys, climbed trees and used my dolls for target practice. I never identified myself as a boy, I just thought they had more fun. I still do but managed to fall in love, get married at 17, bear 4 sons and enjoy playing football and climbing trees with them.

I appreciate your approach to this topic, it's so terrible to see that medicine and even the truth has become politicized. I'm saddened that many physicians no longer take their oath seriously. No doctor would go along with the delusions experienced by a patient with schizophrenia, yet everyone should go along with a delusion a child is experiencing that is most certainly related to a mental illness? It just doesn't make sense, nor is it healthy for that to happen. It's the ultimate act of arguing against reality.

Thank you for this article. I just wish I were younger and could do more to persuade others that we are all children of God and should be treated as such. I think these medical and mental things that are done to children are a form of child abuse.

I appreciate you reminded all of us to be respectful and supportive of transexuals while standing up to the movement pushing young people toward a very dangerous and bitter path.
