This article has been very good for me to read. It has made me realize that I have spent far too much time lately thinking about my own wants and needs, and concentrating on my husbands short-comings, and not enough thinking of his needs etc. I am making myself unhappy by trying to change him, instead of just accepting that we are different (for a reason). I am going to start today to think differently, and accept our different natures.

The best part about this article is the description that is given with regard to the differences that exist generally between the masculine and feminine natures, and therefore between the roles which the Lord has appointed to each, in marriage. This article has a lot of good advice, but of course it does not touch upon the actual, original, divinely appointed differences in authorities between the man and the wife. The fact that the church has rebelled against these distinctions that were once mentioned, until recently, in the male and female endowment ceremonies, is a sad thing, to me. It keeps both the man and the woman from rising to their full potential, or from abiding the marital law of the celestial kingdom.
