I appreciate this point of view so much. I am a public school teacher, and I have seen this kind of thinking at work. We had a 6th grade child, who identified as a boy, dressed and looked just like a cute little boy, named Emily. Emily was having significant behavior issues. The district brought in an outside mental health evaluator to do a thorough evaluation. As the evaluator presented her info about affirming this child's identity, we asked about where the findings were about the symptoms we had seen that there had been possible sexual abuse of the child as a young girl. The evaluator had not researched the history in this direction at all, all of her findings were about affirming the gender the child professing, and about how would could affirm her chosen gender. It was then I knew it was a lie. This we not about helping children for her. It was about showing how open-minded and affirming she could be of the movement. I just wanted to tell this poor child that she was a beloved daughter of her Heavenly Father who loved her, but I couldn't. This has got to one one of Satan's best lies.
