On our visit to Nauvoo we very much enjoyed our peaceful time at this cemetery. There was a wonderful spirit there. We had learned some history about some of those buried there and so it added to our interest to see their grave sites. I hope everyone has an opportunity to visit Nauvoo. It was one of the most spiritual experiences of our lives being there and going to the temple. We felt such a glorious awareness of the "restoration of all things" and rejoiced that the dream of our beloved early Saints was realized in the restoration of the temple.

Thank you, Rosemary, for a great article. We felt the special sacred spirit of the Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds when we visited there. My third great grandfather died in Nauvoo and is buried there, but he does not have a marker -- Bradley Wilson.

Thank you for a most informative article, Rosemary. My Great Great Grandfather Palmer is buried there....and when we visited for the dedication of the Nauvoo temple, we could not locate where his body was. However, we do have a coy of his son's journal that told us that was where he was laid to rest.

This was a wonderful article. I am presently writing the life story of one of my ancestors whose kin was buried in the old Nauvoo cemetery. The stories you have shared add so much to our knowledge of how these ancestors lived and died. Thank You
