There will be extraordinarily widespread selfishness and lack of caring for others in the last days, Apostle Paul writes to Timothy prophesying of evils and conditions that will be widespread in the last days. (2Timothy 3:2). For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, We see this selfishness and lack of caring for the welfare of others all around us. It is, a rather prominent sign of the times. It is the opposite of the charity and caring taught by the gospel of Jesus Christ. The warning to individuals who violate chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God, the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets. The constant efforts of local, state, national, and world governmental bodies to rework the definition of "family" to better fit the downward trends of modern society, and the God-given definition of marriage between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24) is under constant assault by Satan and his followers. Most of the woes and ills of society can be traced to the lack of strong families where husband and wives lead in kindness and righteousness, and teach their children the laws and ways of God that build strong communities and nations. As a teacher with the youth, from ages 10 years old to18 in prison, I see first hand what the disintegration of the family is doing to the children. Because of the false ways and philosophies of the world, children are left without moral roots and guidance, lawlessness, dishonesty, anarchy, corruption in government, rampant self-indulgence, and sexual immorality are bringing unprecedented widespread personal and national calamities as prophesied.
