I have no knowledge of Yeah other than from this article. We (who live in Africa) have a saying that; "Living in Africa is not for the fainthearted (sissys)" Africa often has a harsh ways of dealing with itself and with those who strive to change its historical order: tribalism, tyranny, autocracy and dictatorships. May Yeah be protected in his reform efforts from death and from the conspiring evil which often permeates the soul of this continent by seeking to keep it and its peoples in darkness, superstition, subjection and poverty. May the power and protection of the Lord be with him. He will certainly need both in order to succeed.

Maurine, Congratulations that your article was chosen as the article of the day on Real Clear Religion. This puts Yeah into national recognition. Hopefully others will be impressed to donate to his campaign as I was.His election will be an international victory for democracy that works from the bottom up.

Having had the fortune to have met Yeah way back in 2000, I have to say that I was immediately impressed by him and his spirit. From what I've since heard and read, he's already done great work for his fellow countrymen as mayor and more recently during the several crisis that have arisen. I hope and pray, both for his country's sake as well has his own, that his efforts can be successful!

Here we are in America forging ahead with ever increasing automation and investing billions in it along side of people who are still living in fear and dread of not only an elimination of the basics of life but of their very lives while a great many of US people have so much that they have no place to use it except to put it in some distant depository just sitting doing nothing while people are still living on our planet with a constant, real threat of their extinction. To pile the dirt even higher, so many more -constantly more- of US citizens are denying Christ and many others are living lives in defiance of God which, of course, means that our peoples are leaning ever closer -with too many all the way there- to the one which is evil personified. It is so very hard to learn of the ever constant growth of the evil one within the world citizenry but we have been told about it and now we know it's true--every day it becomes ever more so! Even though we know it's true, we must -yes, we must- continue to live with our focus and our efforts dedicated -no matter what happens- to the One who knows it all and who has given his life for us. This is going to be a fascinating story to watch unfold. As Mali goes, so goes many other regions targeted by terrorists and al QQaeda. My prayers and donation are with Mr. Samake.

As I read of Bro. Samake's situation and courage, the thought came to me that he needs our support in prayer. Let's all remember to pray regularly and earnestly for his protection and success!

Great story about a true patriot who is risking all, including his own life for a better future for his country. Pray God will bless and sustain his noble efforts. Way to go Samake!
