This article reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon. The prophet, Mormon, wrote to his son, Moroni, relating the extremely sinful circumstances of the people. This was the very darkest period in the Book of Mormon, shortly before the final great battle which annihilated most of the Nephites. However, Mormon counseled his son in Moroni 9:25: "My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee...but may Christ lift thee up, and may...the showing of his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and eternal life, REST IN YOUR MIND FOREVER." This article is so timely because some of the most powerful "fiery darts" of the adversary are stressful, angry, discouraging, hopeless thoughts. They suck the spiritual life from us and weaken us. They fuel enmity, divide us, and hurl us into a downward spiral of negativity. We need to focus on our Savior, Jesus Christ and to commit ourselves to serve him and his children. Never has the world needed the light of faithful Latter-day Saints more than today.
