If it just a quick blip of time for those waiting for their work to be done, why are we told to hasten and we are stopping our ancestors progress, etc?
I have dreams, impressions and guidance from the holy ghost on a regular basis of people who need their work done. Then, I am guided to find their records. The nudges keep coming until I do the research and get the names ready.
I don't know if they are suffering, but I know they want the work done and Now!
I know I am blessed for helping those who can't help themselves.

Ned, I cannot answer your question, but it's helpful to keep in mind that what seems like days, weeks, months, and years to us here on earth is just a quick blip of time to those in the Spirit World, who are beyond the confines of earthly constraints such as the marking of time.

Is it true that those who accept the gospel in the spirit world are not allowed to leave spirit prison until their temple ordinances are completed? If that is so then they are held back there because their paperwork in not completed in mortality. That doesn't seem just or merciful.
