Family history sponsors some of life’s most poignant moments. Izak was born in a displaced persons camp at Bergen-Belsen at the end of World War II, a time when families were lost, divided from each other by circumstances beyond their control. At MyHeritage, researchers found that Izak had a lost brother he had never known about by comparing family trees. This video shows their first meeting.

This is the reason we do family history research--to connect families and reunite with them, whether it is in person or through combining our lineage with temple blessings so that we can be united and linked eternally. This is a very touching reminder of that.

Doing genealogy not only links you with your ancestors but can sometimes find your siblings or parents!! Second wonderful story of finding lost relatives I've heard.
