In the 12th in a series of 15 videos set to be released by members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Jeffrey R. Holland said the Savior had to feel loneliness in order to comfort the lonely.

President Holland’s Easter testimony video is based on his April 2009 general conference message titled “None Were with Him.” In the video, he shares how the Savior felt everything Heavenly Father’s children would feel in order to empathize with and strengthen them.

“One of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so,” President Holland said.
