The Puebla Mexico Temple will begin welcoming the public to come and participate in the open house beginning March 29, 2024.
A media day was held for journalists from more than 20 local and national media outlets on Monday, March 25, while religious leaders, government officials, and community leaders will tour the temple through Thursday.
The media began with a press conference attended by Elder Hugo Montoya and Elder Sean Douglas of the Mexico Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as Elder Juan Pablo Villar, assistant executive director of the Temple Department.
“We have just built a temple in this beautiful state of Puebla, which will open its doors to the public from this Friday, March 29, until April 20,” said Hugo Montoya, Mexico Area President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“It fills us with joy to have a new temple, and we want to share it with everyone, so we invite all our friends who are not of our faith to get to know it,” Montoya said. “We believe that the bonds of love that bind spouses and parents and children can endure beyond this life, and that is what the temple is all about,” he said.
