The weekly program “Music & the Spoken Word” is now airing in Spanish every Sunday at 5 p.m. MDT on Telemundo Utah, channel 20. The first broadcast is Sunday, June 15, 2025.
This is an important milestone for The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s 96-year-old program. It will help the Choir expand its reach in Utah’s Spanish-speaking community. The Choir first began broadcasting “Music & the Spoken Word” in Spanish on its Spanish YouTube channel in 2023.
“‘Music & the Spoken Word’ is the Choir’s gift of inspiration to the world,” said Tabernacle Choir President Michael O. Leavitt. “We are grateful that Telemundo Utah will begin sharing ‘Music & the Spoken Word’ this Sunday, allowing more of God’s children to hear the weekly messages of hope and peace in their own language.”
