Day 1/2 – Tuesday/Wednesday, April 21/22, 2020
USA to Cairo

Depart the U.S.A the weekend after General Conference and travel all night long across the planet. Upon arrival in Cairo your tour manager will meet and assist you at the International Airport and then escort you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe coach. At the hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your amazing itinerary with you. We stay overnight in Cairo.

Day 3 – Thursday, April 23, 2020
The Pyramids

Enjoy a full day at the pyramids area to discover the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, including a full 1-hour safari on camels or horse buggy out into the desert to see the pyramids from the very best view.  We will then visit the fascinating solar boat museum–an ancient boat built for Pharaoh to sail on a beam of light from the sun.  We will not miss the mysterious Sphinx that was carved out of a solid natural rock around 2500 B.C.  Had this monument not been nearly covered in the sands of the Sahara, it would have likely been named the 8th Wonder of the Ancient World.  This Giza plateau tour will take a little more than 4 hours and give us the time we need to ensure complete coverage of the secrets of this area and to have the utmost fun as well. A chance for visiting a Papyrus institute to see how it gets made will delight and amaze you.  Here you you can pick some wonderful papyrus art including color-painted copies of the facsimiles from the Pearl of Great Price!  Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 4 – Friday, April 24, 2020
Flight to Aswan – Nile River Cruise

This morning we have an early wakeup call and check out before heading to Cairo airport and taking our 531-miles flight to Aswan. We will start our tour directly by visiting the famous High Dam which was built to save Egypt from the wild Nile floods.  This is a site and a view you will not want to miss.  Then we will drive to visit one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt; Philae Temple, ISIS temple, goddess of magic and maternity to access this temple we will ride a motor boat for about 10 minutes and visit a Nubian village and home. Embark our deluxe Nile cruise, our stay on the cruise will last for 3 nights on full board basis.  Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

You’ll delight in the traditional spice markets in this Nubian village–just watch out for all the camel traffic!

Somewhere on our journey we will likely join together for a felucca (ancient sailboat) ride on the Nile. Here is our group from 2016.

Day 5 – Saturday, April 25, 2020
Nile Cruise

Today we shall start sailing North heading to Kom Ombo to visit the only double temple in Egypt which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon and Sobek, the crocodile. Then we’ll sail to Edfu to visit the most complete temple in Egypt. We’ll return to the cruise ship, sailing to Luxor to arrive in the evening and overnight there.  Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The Valley of the Kings was established thousands of years ago in this extremely remote area to try to avoid grave robbers.

Day 6 – Sunday, April 26, 2020
Nile Cruise –  Valley of the Kings

Impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Today we start our tour by visiting the Valley of the Kings and admire the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for many kings’ burial sites. You will visit 3 of the famous tombs of kings and with a small paid supplement we will also visit the most famous tomb, that of Tut Ankh Amen.

Next, you will just pass by the temple built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, just for outer photo Back to the ship for lunch.  This temple is a must see and unlike any other in all the land of Egypt.

The immense columns in the Temple of Karnak have to be seen to be believed. No photograph can do them justice. This one room alone is more than 24,000 square feet and 100 people could stand on top of one column!

After lunch we shall start our tour by visiting Karnak Temple, the greatest example of worship in the history, dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu, We will then return for some relaxation. This evening we will all pay a small supplement and take a traditional horse and buggy ride (highly recommended) around the city of Luxor.  This is an experience we want everyone to have and one you will never forget.  Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7 – Monday, April 27, 2020
Luxor and flight back to Cairo – Egyptian Museum

Today we will disembark the cruise ship and take an early flight back to Cairo and do our touring to the world famous Egyptian museum the most important repository of Egyptian antiquities in the world. Meals : Breakfast, Lunch

The Step Pyramid of King Zoser is the oldest building made of bricks and stone in the entire world.

Day 8 – Tuesday, April 28, 2020
Cairo

We start with a lovely open buffet breakfast, the we’ll be going to the area of Sakkara, located south of Cairo. This is one part of the great necropolis of Memphis and was the capital of the Old Kingdom. Sakkara is probably best known as the location of King Zoser’s step Pyramid–the oldest building made of stone in the entire world.

Your excursion will proceed to the old capital of Memphis. You will see the ruins of the Temple of Ptah, and the gigantic colossi of King Ramses the second. You will also be fascinated by visiting the carpet school around, where you will get to see up front and personal how handmade rugs are carefully crafted.  Here there is some time for shopping.  Meals : Breakfast, Lunch

Day 9 – Wednesday, April 29, 2020
Cairo to Alexandria

Today we will move to Alexandria to enjoy the stay there for 1 additional night, during our stay you will enjoy visiting the famous bibliotheca, the catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the roman amphitheater, Montazah park and Pompey’s Pillar.

Day 10 – Thursday, April 30, 2020

Flight Home or on to Amman, Jordan and the Holy Land

Today you will depart Egypt and take your flight home or perhaps to Amman, Jordan for a Holy Land tour. You take memories with you to last a lifetime.  Meals : Breakfast
