Leaders and Members Discouraged from Traveling to U.S. for April General Conference

Coronavirus continues to affect missionary work, temple worship, regular Sunday worship, and now the April 2020 general conference. Also, since its initial donation of medical masks, goggles and gowns to China, the Church has received numerous requests for similar assistance. Those requests are being evaluated and addressed as the Church can do so, though its ability to supply and deliver these products is limited by global demand. Read the full statement.

Missionaries Continue Precautionary Measures; Weekly Worship Services Adjusted; Taipei and South Korea Temples Close Temporarily

Missionaries who left Hong Kong are completing their 14-day self-isolation and are preparing to depart for their new, temporary assignments. Missionaries in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission, Singapore Mission, Thailand Bangkok Mission, Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Mission, and missions throughout South Korea have received special instructions to stay safe and healthy. The Church is also evaluating needs of local Latter-day Saints—in some places, members are not gathering for worship services, while in other places they are worshiping on a limited schedule. Also, the Taipei Taiwan Temple has been closed temporarily, and the Seoul Korea Temple will soon temporarily close. Read the full statement.
