I've been taking 1TBS of organic apple cider vinegar mixed with 1TBS of honey or maple syrup mixed in one cup of water 1 or 2 times per day. I first started taking it to help with heartburn. My heartburn went away and so did the canker sores and telegraphic tongue I get occasionally. It sounds strange but it works!

My mother taught me to dip my finger in water and then put alum on the finger and transfer the alum to the sore. Alum is very nasty but I learned to do it without tasting it. I would then rinse my mouth with water and the sore cleared up. This works well if you have only one sore. I can't imagine a mouth full.

When I was younger I used an aspirin. Get it wet and place on sore. Not coated aspirin. It healed quicker than not doing anything.

I've had a lot of canker sores in my life. I can attribute them to three things: 1. Going to bad with a little sugar on my teeth. (I'll get a canker sore right where my tooth hits the gum.) And 2. Being dehydrated. And 3. Gut health. I have had them the entire length of my digestive track. Drinking more water has always helped.
