When Proposition 8 was being voted on in California I was asked by my Stake President to make a donation to help support Prop 8. I gave $100.00 even though I live in Texas. It was hard for me to believe that 1 Gay Federal judge could overturn the majority of voters in California based on a nonsensical ruling. As a result, I lost my $100.00 that could have been better used in the humanitarian fund, fast offering or missionary fund. In addition, I was put of the homosexual's hate list as someone that was a "hater", a homophobe, etc. These are not kind people we are dealing with.

The abused often turn into abusers, which perpetuates the vicious cycle. Members of the LGBT community went from being abused to becoming abusers of those whose life-styles and values are different. They are taking the risk of a boomerang effect from the part of those in the "silent majority" who will no longer tolerate their aggressive methods.

This is an article that I will read over many times. I will also share it many times because the speakers taught me pinciples and ideas that I hadn't considered or thought of until now. Thank you.
