I don't mean to nit pick but wasn't the second promise listed in this article from his talk as President of the Quorum of the Twelve given in October 2017 entitled, "The Book of Mormon: What Would Your Life Be Like Without It?" While I have struggled to live up to it, I have always found such strength in those words. His full promise from that talk is, "My dear brothers and sisters, I promise that as you prayerfully study the Book of Mormon every day, you will make better decisions—every day. I promise that as you ponder what you study, the windows of heaven will open, and you will receive answers to your own questions and direction for your own life. I promise that as you daily immerse yourself in the Book of Mormon, you can be immunized against the evils of the day, even the gripping plague of pornography and other mind-numbing addictions."

Thank you so so much for teaching “President Russell M. Nelson 101.” I have loved them all.

I will never forget my baptism interview over fifty years ago. The interviewing missionary must have thought I was younger than I was, so he brought along a picture book. All was going well until he turned the page to a picture of Joseph Smith and asked if I knew he was a prophet. Did I? Did I even know what a prophet was? I felt like I had a split second to answer. I didn’t want to lie to God, but I was so afraid they wouldn’t let me be baptized. I answered yes, and it changed my life. I testify of every prophet since that time. We are so blessed by the teachings and revelations of our dear Russell M. Nelson. I know with all my heart he is the Lord’s chosen servant at this time.
